Born in Memphis, HAL McCORMACK’s professional career began in ’87 with his own bands, M. Slider and Driving South. In ’89 he joined Jimi Jamison & Survivor as their second guitarist. Since Survivor, Hal has recorded with Ed King and Robert Nix and toured with Deep South, Uprisin, Atlanta Rhythm Section, and Jim Dandy’s Black Oak Arkansas. Over the years, Hal has performed in 15 countries and 47 states. He has been nominated twice as best guitarist by NARAS Premiere Player’s Award of Memphis. His original music has appeared on albums, in movies, and on t.v. As a producer, his current projects include Black Oak’s new album and his own cd, Corder-McCormack, with Tora Tora lead singer Anthony Corder.
