“Kudos to all who participate in giving of themselves, their time, and their talent to help children they’ve never met. Life offers many paths to contribute, seek redemption or just help tilt the axis away from tragedy and back toward joyousness. The selfless work done by all on behalf of innocents who must stare down the bleak reality of cancer is worthy of praise, encouragement, and support” – Eric Fuller, Forbes

Tremendous thanks to all who participated, donated, sponsored, worked, or volunteered at the event.

Huge THANK YOU to Frank Chin for the terrific photos!

Who is WCHWCF?

This is a nonprofit event with proceeds Benefiting the families of the Ronald McDonald Charities of Memphis. To date, we have raised more than $300,000 in financial support!

This year marks the 21st year of the WCHWCF, previously known as the Southern Hotwing Festival, and attracts international teams from Canada, Costa Rica, South Africa, and other parts of the world.  Whether you like your wings grilled, smoked or fried, with seasonings that range from sweet to savory to exotic, there’s sure to be something for everyone.

Festival-goers will not only have a fun time sampling the competition’s fare, they will also have “something to crow about” as they will be making a contribution to The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Memphis (RMH).

We hope the public will help us assist the families and children who live at the facility, at no cost, after treatment from St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. This mission allows the families to focus on helping their children survive and thrive.
