The 22nd Annual World Championship Hot Wing Contest and Festival will be held on April 20, 2024 in downtown Memphis at the Mississippi River Park (formerly Jefferson Davis Park) at 51 Riverside Drive between Jefferson and Union Avenues in Memphis, TN.

The WCHWCF will be in conjunction with the Banquet Open, a 42 year old golf tournament that will be held on the preceding Saturday April 13th at Galloway golf course.

Both events will benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Memphis.

Who is WCHWCF?

This is a nonprofit event with proceeds Benefiting the families of the Ronald McDonald Charities of Memphis. To date, we have raised more than $300,000 in financial support!

This year marks the 21st year of the WCHWCF, previously known as the Southern Hotwing Festival, and attracts international teams from Canada, Costa Rica, South Africa, and other parts of the world.  Whether you like your wings grilled, smoked or fried, with seasonings that range from sweet to savory to exotic, there’s sure to be something for everyone.

Festival-goers will not only have a fun time sampling the competition’s fare, they will also have “something to crow about” as they will be making a contribution to The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Memphis (RMH).

We hope the public will help us assist the families and children who live at the facility, at no cost, after treatment from St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. This mission allows the families to focus on helping their children survive and thrive.
