The Annual Wingfest Parade

The festival to the opening ceremony begins with the Memphis Second Line Brass Band, LED by Ellis Kepplinger reverberating jazz and opening with the ‘swing’ sound of WHEN THE HENS COME MARCHING IN. Ellis and his band of talented musicians lead the way followed by the ‘parade of hens’ beautiful birds strutting their stuff to the sound of jazz. Behind the prepossessing hens comes the Shriners mini car, Hillbilly style ‘bushwhacking’ exhibition with its colorful antics and personages. Immediately following the Shriners unique show will be ‘Batman and Wonder Woman’ tossing trinkets and small gifts to the attendees and finally the grand horse drawn carriage showcasing the winners from last years wing competition ‘What The Cluck 3’ waving and showcasing their 2025 trophy.
